Volleyball Recap: Campbellsport's Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

Campbellsport came into Saturday's matchup having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Waukesha North Northstars on Saturday. The Cougars were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Northstars, so the Cougars were just returning the favor.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Campbellsport to victory, but perhaps none more so than Garvey Ayla, who had eight digs and three aces. The dominant performance also gave Ayla a new career-high in assists (five). Another player making a difference was Smith Ava, who had six digs and three aces.

Campbellsport's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Waukesha North, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-9.

Campbellsport wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Oshkosh West on the 13th. As for Waukesha North, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Edgerton on the 13th.
