A District 1 recap Nov. 7, 2012

Texhoma extended the longest winning streak in A District 1 this week by beating Hooker, 41-6. The win marks ninth in a row for the the Red Devils.

Texhoma took down the Bulldogs 41-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Fairview's dynamic duo of Grant Nightengale and Michael Christopher proved tough for Oklahoma Bible to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Nightengale threw for 294 yards and three touchdowns and Christopher had 89 yards receiving. Bryce Kippenberger helped Fairview's passing attack out by catching six balls for 69 yards.

Ryan Nash was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 179 yards on 33 carries as Beaver topped the Trojans. Heath Thomas also contributed to the rushing game with 173 yards on the ground.

Fairview's Nightengale and Christopher have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Nightengale has thrown for 2189 yards this season, while Christopher, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 45 catches for 581 yards. Okeene's Trent Turner leads the league in rushing yards with 1102.

The Whippets made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,387 from 9,030. The improvement was the result of 41-12 victory over Mooreland last week.
