Basketball Recap: Eden Prairie Takes a Loss

Eden Prairie has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 78-64 bruising from the Wayzata Trojans on Friday. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Trojans earlier this season, when they won 81-73.

Despite the loss, Eden Prairie still got an impressive performance from Tori Schlagel, who went 12 for 24 en route to 35 points and seven boards. Those 35 points gave Schlagel a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Dennin, who posted 12 points.

Eden Prairie's defeat dropped their record down to 17-5. As for Wayzata, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eden Prairie will welcome St. Michael-Albertville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wayzata, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Edina at 7:00 p.m.
