Basketball Game Preview: Quincy Orioles vs. Schoolcraft Eagles

The Quincy Orioles will take on the Schoolcraft Eagles in a tournament on Wednesday. Quincy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.7 points per game this season.

Quincy took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They secured a 53-49 W over Bronson.

Quincy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alex Dunn led the charge by to rack up 17 points and eight rebounds. Dunn has become a key player for Quincy: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 15 points, but 9-10 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Kempter, who posted eight points along with ten boards and four steals.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Schoolcraft took on Constantine on Friday. Schoolcraft blew past Constantine 73-16. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Schoolcraft is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.2 points over those games. Quincy's win bumped their record up to 12-10.
