Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Lynn). They were the clear victor by  a  22-3 margin over the Vina Red Devils on Thursday. For the Bears, this counts as revenge for the   3-2 victory the Red Devils walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in February of 2024.
 Maddie Brooke Rutledge looked comfortable as she  tossed four innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   four  hits.
 On the hitting side, Lynn let  Alyssa McKinney and  Dereka Bryan run wild. McKinney  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, six  RBI,  and three  runs, while  Bryan  went 3-for-4 with three  stolen bases, three  runs,  and four  RBI. Those  three  stolen bases gave  Bryan a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Molly Pate, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4.
 Lynn  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .650. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
The  win made it two in a row for Lynn and  bumps their season record up to 8-4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Vina, their defeat was  their seventh straight at home, which  dropped their record down to 4-11.
Lynn will have a chance to go back-to-back against Vina: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday.
