Basketball Recap: Gilmer Victorious

Wesleyan came into Tuesday's matchup looking for another win against Gilmer, but Jd Taylor wouldn't allow it. The Gilmer Bobcats walked away with a 65-56 win over the Wesleyan Wolves on Tuesday thanks in part to Taylor, who went 13 of 24 on his way to 41 points in addition to seven steals and five boards. The game was his fourth in a row with at least ten points.

Wesleyan's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grant Schelhammer, who went 6 for 14 on his way to 16 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Morehouse, who posted 17 points and five rebounds.

Gilmer now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Wesleyan, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Gilmer didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-43 defeat against Adairsville on the 6th. As for Wesleyan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 68-47 loss against King's Ridge Christian on the 3rd.
