Newcomb barely beat Zuni the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Skyhawks were the clear victors by a 20-3 margin over the Thunderbirds on Tuesday. That 17 run margin sets a new team best for the Skyhawks this season.

The win was the third in a row for Newcomb, bringing their record up to 6-16. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.7 runs over those games. As for Zuni, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 14 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Zuni beat Newcomb by a score of 14-12 later that day.
