Softball Recap: Desert Takes a Loss

Desert started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Rosamond. They came up short against the Roadrunners on Tuesday, falling 20-10. While the Scorpions didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Roadrunners 5-0 in the first period.

Kaylee Rogers and Rachel Hewes stepped up to the plate in a big way. Rogers went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Hewes went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Rogers has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Caroline Kesler, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Desert has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-9 record this season. As for Rosamond, they pushed their record up to 15-12 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

As of now, neither Desert nor the Roadrunners have any future games scheduled.
