It was a good run, but The First Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Providence Christian Academy LIONS by a score of 35-33. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Royals came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 22nd in Florida, while the LIONS are ranked 94th in Tennessee).

The First Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Providence Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

The First Academy and Beachside will round out the year against one another at at 3:35 p.m. on Monday. Beachside will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something The First Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Providence Christian Academy, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Providence Christian Academy LIONS duke it out with the University School of Nashville Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Providence Christian Academy is facing University School of Nashville at the right time seeing as University School of Nashville is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
