Softball Game Preview: Jefferson J-Hawks vs. Guilford Vikings

Jefferson is 2-8 against Guilford since May of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The J-Hawks will welcome the Vikings at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Monday just wasn't the day for Jefferson's offense. They came up short against Belvidere North on Monday, falling 13-0. The J-Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Guilford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 16-3 to Belvidere North.

Guilford saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Malia Welch, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Guilford's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Jefferson, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.
