Basketball Recap: Tyshaun Dunlap's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Easton Area over Liberty

Easton Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 38-36 heartbreaker at the hands of the Liberty Hurricanes. While losing is never fun, the Rovers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 345th, while the Hurricanes are ranked 63rd).

Easton Area's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyshaun Dunlap, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Saboor Houser, who earned eight points.

Easton Area's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Liberty, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-3.

Easton Area will square off against Nazareth Area at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Liberty, they will head out to square off against Freedom at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
