Softball Recap: Caldwell County Tigers vs. McCracken County Mustangs
Caldwell County fell victim to McCracken County and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.
Alexis Wood spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Caldwell County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Harper Holeman, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

The Colonels' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Mustangs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
