Baseball Recap: Roosevelt Gets the Win

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Roosevelt ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over the McLane Highlanders. The Rough Riders haven't had any issues with the Highlanders recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Roberson Brian was incredible, going 3-for-5 with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Cruz Diego, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run.

Roosevelt's win bumped their record up to 17-7-2. As for McLane, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-11-1.

Roosevelt will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Highlanders: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
