Baseball Recap: Temple Drops Season-High Score on Healdton

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Temple). They were the clear victors by an 18-6 margin over the Healdton Bulldogs on Monday. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Nathan Lipscomb, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with six stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Micheal Marin was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Temple always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .735. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Temple now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Healdton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.

Temple will venture away from home to square off against Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Healdton, they will square off against Waurika at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.
