Soccer Game Preview: Rocklin vs. Granite Bay

The Rocklin Thunder will face off against the Granite Bay Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Thursday, everything went Rocklin's way against Oak Ridge as Rocklin made off with a 4-1 victory. Given the Thunder's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 137th, while the Trojans are ranked 309th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rocklin hit Oak Ridge with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Luke Georgeson, Jovan Radovic, Carter Haynes, and Justin Trubell.

Meanwhile, Granite Bay sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Folsom on Thursday.

Rocklin has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4-3 record this season. As for Granite Bay, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4-5.

Rocklin came out on top in a nail-biter against Granite Bay in their previous meeting back in January, sneaking past 1-0. Will Rocklin repeat their success, or does Granite Bay have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
