Volleyball Recap: Pinewood Comes Up Short

Pinewood was the 3-1 winner over Priory when they last played one another on October 7th, but their luck changed this time around. Pinewood came up short against Priory on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Pinewood has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 26-24, 25-17.

Mailey Wang paced Pinewood's offense, picking up 16 kills. Wang got some help from Caitlin Yamaguchi and her 15 assists. Finally, Wang was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Pinewood's loss dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Priory, their victory bumped their record up to 12-9-1.

As of now, neither Pinewood nor Priory have any future games scheduled.
