Baseball Recap: Bonita Vista Takes a Loss

Bonita Vista was the 4-3 winner over Mt. Carmel when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Barons fell 5-2 to the Sundevils on Thursday. The Barons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

DEMARCO ROJAS was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits.

Bonita Vista's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Mt. Carmel, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bonita Vista will host Poway at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Mt. Carmel, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Valhalla at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in the Sundevils' favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while the Norsemen have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
