Baseball Recap: Iowa Valley Victorious

Iowa Valley hadn't done well against H-L-V recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Tigers walked away with a 10-6 win over the Warriors. The game was the first time the Tigers have beaten the Warriors on their field since June 15, 2016.

The victory made it two in a row for Iowa Valley and bumps their season record up to 4-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for H-L-V, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Iowa Valley will face off against Montezuma at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers are facing the Braves at the right time seeing as the Braves are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for H-L-V, they will challenge Sigourney at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Savages will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight.
