Baseball Preview: Plymouth Wildcats vs. Kettering Captains
The Plymouth Wildcats will head out to face off against the Kettering Captains at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
Monday just wasn't the day for Plymouth's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northville on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost six in a row.
Plymouth got a good showing from Nick Riebschleger, who struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits.
Kettering not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since May 4, 2024. They were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over Milford. Another player making a difference was GRIFFIN SPRINGS, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4.
Plymouth's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Kettering, their record is now 2-0.
