Chopticon is 7-1 against Thomas Stone since February of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Chopticon Braves are taking a road trip to challenge the Thomas Stone Cougars at 5:00 p.m. Chopticon will be strutting in after a victory while Thomas Stone will be coming in after a defeat.

On Wednesday, Chopticon needed a bit of extra time to put away McDonough. They skirted past the Rams 55-53. The Braves' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Chopticon got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mekenzie Ganley out in front who posted 17 points. Ganley continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Hutson, who scored nine points.

Meanwhile, Thomas Stone came up short against Huntingtown on Wednesday and fell 48-37. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Hurricanes: they've now lost nine in a row.

Thomas Stone now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Chopticon, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-6 record this season.

Chopticon came up short against Thomas Stone when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 26-17. Can Chopticon avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
