Volleyball Game Preview: Lima Central Catholic Thunderbirds vs. Allen East Mustangs

The Lima Central Catholic Thunderbirds will venture away from home to challenge the Allen East Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Lima Central Catholic is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest loss since October 16, 2024 on Monday. They lost 3-0 to Parkway. The Thunderbirds haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-10, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Allen East came up short against Wayne Trace on Monday, falling 3-0.

While Allen East was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-11, 25-23.

Allen East's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Lima Central Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Lima Central Catholic couldn't quite get it done against Allen East in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Mustangs' Aniya Prowant, who had 24 digs and four assists.
