McEwen had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They skirted past the Houston County Fighting Irish 50-47. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 53-51 victory on February 4th.

Despite the loss, Houston County still got an impressive performance from Casen Clark, who en route to 20 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Paul 'Ryan' Carter, who posted eight points in addition to seven rebounds and three blocks.

McEwen's win bumped their record up to 17-9. As for Houston County, their loss dropped their record down to 14-13.
