The Classical Academy of Sarasota was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Keswick Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Keswick Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Landon Wilson, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Wilson scored 15 or more points. Isaiah Batey was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
The Classical Academy of Sarasota's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Keswick Christian, their win ended a 12-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-14.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. The Classical Academy of Sarasota will take on Sarasota Military Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sarasota Military Academy is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak. As for Keswick Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Petersburg Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. St. Petersburg Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Keswick Christian likes a good challenge.
