Baseball Game Preview: Puxico Indians vs. Chaffee Red Devils

Puxico is 0-3 against Chaffee since May of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Indians will challenge the Red Devils at 2:00 p.m. Puxico will be strutting in after a win while Chaffee will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Puxico turned things around against Charleston on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Bluejays a 6-0 shutout. Considering the Indians have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Chaffee suffered their closest defeat since June 2, 2025 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Portageville by a score of 6-4.

Chaffee's loss dropped their record down to 30-2. As for Puxico, their victory bumped their record up to 7-13.

Puxico suffered a grim 18-4 defeat to Chaffee in their previous meeting last Monday. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
