Softball Recap: Great Mills Comes Up Short

Great Mills lost against Chopticon back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Hornets lost 17-2 to the Braves. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Great Mills saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vanessa Chamberlin, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Great Mills' defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Chopticon, their win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Great Mills will challenge rival McDonough at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Chopticon is set to face off against their familiar foe St. Charles on Wednesday.
