Baseball Game Preview: Lafayette Hornets vs. Union County Fightin' Tigers

For the second straight game, Lafayette will face off against Union County. The Hornets will be playing at home against the Fightin' Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lafayette will be looking to extend their current 17-game winning streak.

Lafayette is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They walked away with a 7-2 win over Union County.

Hyatt Richardson was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Jordan Murphy, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.

Lafayette's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Union County, they now have a losing record of 14-15.
