Baseball Recap: Five Straight Home Wins for Walled Lake Western

While Walled Lake Western's win against Walled Lake Central wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Vikings on Monday. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Vincent Roach spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Walled Lake Western saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dallas Sauve, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Novak Lazich also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
