Softball Recap: Dripping Springs Snaps 11-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Dripping Springs and Kingwood squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Dripping Springs had to settle for second. They lost 16-6 to the Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-1 on Wednesday.

Lorelei Gamble made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run. Morgan Crain was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI.

Dripping Springs' loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 31-11-1. As for Kingwood, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 34-4-1.

Dripping Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kingwood, they will take on Forney at 1:00 p.m. on the 31st. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Mustangs 1.8, the Jackrabbits 1.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
