Baseball Recap: Canyon Comes Up Short

Canyon fell victim to Clemens and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Buffaloes, falling 7-0. The Cougars just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Clemens, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Canyon is set to challenge their familiar foe East Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Clemens will square off against rival Johnson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Clemens 2.8, Johnson 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
