Basketball Recap: Nia Crawford's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Orr over Rich Township

If Orr was riding high fresh off their 81-11 takedown of Hyde Park on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Orr Spartans received a blow on Saturday as they fell 57-38 to the Rich Township Raptors.

Orr's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nia Crawford, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 steals. Crawford has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last seven times she's played. Neshaun Russell was another key player, putting up eight points along with 11 boards and four steals.

Orr's loss dropped their record down to 16-4. As for Rich Township, their victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-7.

Orr will venture away from home to face off against Prosser at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Rich Township, they will face off against Bloom at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Bloom will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Rich Township surely won't give up without a fight.
