Softball Recap: Alliance Wins Going Away Against Carrollton

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Alliance and Carrollton meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Aviators blew past the Warriors 6-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Aviators have posted against the Warriors since April 12, 2022.

Lily White made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

White wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Alexia Brown, who went 1-for-3 with two runs. Kylee Puckett was another, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Alliance's record now sits at 7-13. As for Carrollton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Alliance will square off against rival West Branch at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Carrollton is set to challenge their familiar foe Salem at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
