Soccer Game Preview: Wesley Chapel vs. River Ridge

The Wesley Chapel Wildcats will square off against the River Ridge Royal Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Wesley Chapel is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They never let Zephyrhills onto the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 570th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last game, River Ridge made sure to put some goals up on the board against Cypress Creek on Friday. They put the hurt on the Coyotes with a sharp 6-1 win. Dylan Starkey had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Royal Knights.

Wesley Chapel has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 50 goals over those 13 matchups. As for River Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 10-7-2.
