Soccer Game Preview: The King's Academy vs. Pinecrest Academy

The King's Academy hasn't had much luck against Pinecrest Academy recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Knights will head out to challenge the Paladins at 5:00 p.m. The King's Academy is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

The King's Academy's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Fideles Christian as they made off with a 6-0 win. The King's Academy might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Pinecrest Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They came out on top against Norcross by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Pinecrest Academy's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked eighth, while Norcross are ranked 46th).

Fia Del Balzo and Portia DeFehr scored all three of Pinecrest Academy's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 37 goals.

Pinecrest Academy pushed their record up to 17-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. As for The King's Academy, their record now sits at 10-0-1.
