Basketball Recap: Central Takes a Loss

Central lost against Sikeston back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Central Tigers fell to the Sikeston Bulldogs 68-64.

When it comes to explaining why Central lost, don't look at Abbi Davenport. Despite the final result, she went 8-for-15 from beyond the arc en route to 31 points. The dominant performance gave Davenport a new career-high in points. Brooklynn Moss was another key player, putting up ten points.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Sikeston, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sikeston has already played their next match (against Malden), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
