Basketball Recap: Bishop Rosecrans Comes Up Short

Bishop Rosecrans was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Catholic Central Crusaders, falling 62-37. The Bishops were probably out for revenge after losing 58-43 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Bishop Rosecrans saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Abby Sagan posted 19 points. That's the most points Sagan has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Malorie Crooks, who scored eight points.

Bishop Rosecrans' defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Catholic Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Bishop Rosecrans has already played their next game, a 40-23 win against Berne Union on the 29th. As for Catholic Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 45-33 victory against Madonna on the 29th.
