Softball Game Preview: Davis Sr. Blue Devils vs. Folsom Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Davis Sr. will face off against Folsom. The Blue Devils will challenge the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Davis Sr. is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.

Davis Sr. is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest defeat since April 10, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Folsom by a score of 3-1.

Davis Sr. got a good showing from Lalya Duarte, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Duarte has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Davis Sr. saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kylie Yao, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Davis Sr. has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season. As for Folsom, they moved to 8-6-2 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
