Fox Creek waltzed into their match on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Loris Lions a 7-0 shutout. The Predators' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last three contests.

Cam Porter looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Devin Hillary, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Will Frischmann, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Fox Creek's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Loris, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-8.
