Football Game Preview: Edgemont Panthers vs. Tuckahoe Tigers

The Edgemont Panthers will challenge the Tuckahoe Tigers at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Edgemont has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with four straight defeats, while Tuckahoe will come in with five straight wins.

Edgemont is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Valhalla on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Panthers were dealt a 42-2 loss at the hands of the Vikings. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Tuckahoe hadn't done well against Dobbs Ferry recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Tigers came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 26-13.

Edgemont better keep an eye on Connor Brice. He was instrumental in Tuckahoe's win, rushing for 172 yards and three scores on only nine carries, while also throwing for 86 yards and one touchdown on only six passes. That's the most rushing touchdowns Brice has posted since back in September of 2024.

Edgemont's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Tuckahoe, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Edgemont couldn't quite get it done against Tuckahoe when the teams last played back in October of 2019 as they fell 50-42. Thankfully for the Panthers, Justin Lee (who rushed for 123 yards and one TD on only 12 carries, and also threw for 146 yards and one touchdown while completing 75% of his passes) won't be suiting up this time.
