After having lost a blowout in their previous game against West Holt, Wausa was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Chambers/Wheeler Central Renegades by a score of 3-1. The victory continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Renegades: they've now won five in a row.

Wausa had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 11-25, 25-17, 25-18, 27-25.

Their offense was headlined by Avery Stevens and Reagan Gillilan, who picked up 12 kills apiece. They got some help from Kenley Anderson and her 30 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Wausa's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Chambers/Wheeler Central, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-19.

Wausa wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Hartington-Newcastle on the 11th. As for Chambers/Wheeler Central, they will venture away from home to challenge Burwell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
