            Volleyball Preview: Desert Hills Thunder vs. Salem Hills Skyhawks        
        
		
        
        
            The Desert Hills Thunder will take on the Salem Hills Skyhawks at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Salem Hills will be up against a hot Desert Hills  squad: the  team just extended their winning streak to three. Desert Hills blew past North Sanpete 3-0 on Friday. While the Thunder didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
 While Desert Hills won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the  third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-10,  25-22.
Desert Hills can attribute much of their success to  Kai James, who  had 12  digs and two  assists.  Graham Wintle also deserves some recognition as  he  had his first  kills of the season.
 Desert Hills  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 12  aces. That's the most  aces they've managed all season.
Salem Hills not only won  on Friday, but they posted their biggest win  since March 15, 2024. They were the clear victors by  a  3-0 margin over Snow Canyon. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Skyhawks.
 Salem Hills never let Snow Canyon on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 26-24,  25-19.
 Salem Hills' victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Desert Hills, they pushed their record up to 7-4 with the  win, which was their third straight  at home.
