It was a good run, but  San Gabriel Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their  four-match winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Calvary Chapel Grizzlies by a score of  3-2. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Grizzlies earlier this season, when they won  3-1.
 San Gabriel Academy actually scored more points across those five sets (100-98), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 13-25, 26-24, 18-25,  16-14.
 Despite the  loss, San Gabriel Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman  Keila Camacho  had 43  digs and two  aces. The team also got some help courtesy of  Zoey Duran, who  hit 77.8% for eight  kills and 14  digs and six  aces.
San Gabriel Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 22-5-2. As for Calvary Chapel, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
 San Gabriel Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Calvary Chapel, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  contest,  a  3-0  loss against Webb on the 14th.
