Softball Recap: Garner-Hayfield/Ventura Takes a Loss

After flying high against Lake Mills on Friday, Garner-Hayfield/Ventura came back down to earth. The Cardinals came up short against the Eagle Grove Eagles on Monday, falling 11-3. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Garner-Hayfield/Ventura's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Eagle Grove, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Garner-Hayfield/Ventura didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 22-12 victory against Northwood-Kensett on the 10th. As for Eagle Grove, they will square off against North Union at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
