Hatch Valley came tearing into Saturday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Hot Springs Tigers by a score of 9-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-2 on Wednesday.

MIGUEL MARQUEZ made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. He has become a key player for Hatch Valley: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-11 otherwise.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on FRANKLIN WILLIAMS, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. He is becoming a predictor of Hatch Valley's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 3-1 (and 7-10 when he doesn't). JUAN RUIZ was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Hatch Valley's record is now 10-11. As for Hot Springs, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-13-1.
