Baseball Recap: Catholic Comes Up Short

Catholic lost against Steward back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Crusaders took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Catholic saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Thompson, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Steward, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Catholic will square off against rival Norfolk Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Steward is set to challenge their familiar foe Cape Henry Collegiate at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
