Basketball Game Preview: Roosevelt Educational Roughriders vs. Evander Childs Tigers

The Roosevelt Educational Roughriders will take on the Evander Childs Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Monday, Roosevelt Educational didn't have too much trouble with Tuitt as they won 64-48.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Evander Childs). They blew past Dodge Vocational 101-36 on Monday. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Evander Childs is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.8 points per game. As for Roosevelt Educational, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

Roosevelt Educational might still be hurting after the 76-53 defeat they got from Evander Childs when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Roosevelt Educational avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
