Basketball Game Recap: Guernsey-Sunrise vs. Rock River

The Guernsey-Sunrise Vikings were the 53-47 winners over the Rock River Longhorns when they previously met earlier this month. This past Saturday? They had no such luck. Guernsey-Sunrise was just a three-ball short of a win and fell 38-36 to Rock River. Things were expected to be close, but in this case the rankings mixed up the winning team.

This is the second loss in a row for the Vikings and nudges their record down to 7-12. The victory improved Rock River's record to 4-13.

Guernsey-Sunrise and Kaycee will go head to head on Thursday in their first playoff game of the year. Coming off of a loss in a game they were expected to win, Guernsey-Sunrise now face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds. Rock River will stay at home against Glendo on Tuesday. Unlike the Longhorns, Glendo will be stumbling in off of a defeat.
