Volleyball Recap: Dimond Finds Playoff Glory Versus Colony

Dimond extended their postseason success on Saturday against Colony. They won by a set and slipped past the Knights 1-0. The win was familiar territory for the Lynx, who have now won three matches in a row.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Dimond got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 30-20.

Anayah Sila paced Dimond's offense, picking up eight kills. Sila got some help from Puao Asailevai and her 11 assists. Ailafo Fautanu controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Dimond's victory bumped their record up to 37-14-1. As for Colony, with the loss, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 36-19-2.

Dimond has already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Chugiak on the 15th. Hopefully Colony paid attention to the Lynx's matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Lynx at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
