Volleyball Recap: Tipton Takes a Loss

Tipton came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Western Panthers, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-21, 25-20.

Emilie Mumbower paced Tipton's offense, picking up five kills. Mumbower got some help from Bella Henderson and her nine assists.

Tipton's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Western, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Tipton will be playing at home against Sheridan at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Western, they will head out to square off against Hamilton Heights at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
