The Westlake Rams are taking a road trip to face off against the LaGrange Gators at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Westlake is headed out to face LaGrange after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Westlake claimed a resounding 50-6 win over Rosepine at home. The victory was some much needed relief for the Rams as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Westlake got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ryan Allen out in front who rushed for 66 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and also picked up 43 receiving yards and a touchdown. That's the most total yards Allen has posted since back in September of 2023. Braylon Garrick was another key back, rushing for 54 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries.
Westlake's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. It was truly a group effort as Cooper Cryer, Tre Lede, and Austin Clophus picked up one apiece.
Meanwhile, LaGrange sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 22-20 victory over Peabody on Saturday.
