The Southwest Roughriders suffered their biggest defeat since December 12, 2023 on Saturday. They suffered a tough 59-39 defeat at the hands of Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood]. Southwest has struggled against Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] recently, as their matchup on Saturday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Southwest still got an impressive performance from Jakub Walz,, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Trenton Williams, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Southwest has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood], their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-7.
Southwest will take on Cheylin at TBD on Tuesday. Hopefully Cheylin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 last Thursday. As for Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood], they will head out on the road to take on Overton on Tuesday. Overton will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
